We consistently couple simple continuum field theories with fracton excitations to curved spacetime backgrounds. consider homogeneous and isotropic theories, a conserved U(1) charge dipole moment. Coupling background fields allows us define stress-energy tensor for these obtain the respective Ward identities. Along way, we find evidence mixed gauge-gravitational anomaly in symmetric gauge theory which naturally couples dipoles.
